The council abolished correspondence and evening forms of education in universities starting next year

The Verkhovna Rada adopted a law regulating admission to higher education institutions in 2024.
According to the document, starting in 2024, there will be no recruitment of entrants for evening and part-time education.
The draft law was supported by 285 people’s elected representatives, People’s Deputy from the “Voice” party Yaroslav Zhelezniak said.
The text of the law states that in 2022-2024, enrollment in higher education is carried out in a special manner.

Therefore, beginning next year, higher education institutions will cancel evening and correspondence forms of education for obtaining bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
It is noted that the competitive selection will be based on the results of the external independent assessment of 2021 or the entrance tests of 2022-2024.
To enroll, the applicant will have to pass exams in Ukrainian language, mathematics, history of Ukraine and one subject of his choice (physics, chemistry, biology, foreign language, geography, Ukrainian literature).
Earlier we reported that the Rada returned the history of Ukraine and foreign language to mandatory subjects of the DPA, but the law will come into effect after the war.
