The Council approved the return of the DPA in four subjects: when the law will come into effect

The Verkhovna Rada returned the state final certification (DPA) in four mandatory subjects, including the history of Ukraine and a foreign language.

However, the norms of the corresponding law No. 9046 will come into effect only after the end of martial law in Ukraine, Serhii Babak, head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Education, Science and Innovation, told “UP. Life”.

On November 8, the Verkhovna Rada as a whole adopted the draft law No. 9046, which provides for the conduct of DPA for students of the 9th and 11th grades in 4 compulsory subjects.

After the end of the 4th grade, students will take the DPA in Ukrainian language and mathematics.

For 9th and 11th grade graduates, there will be at least 4 exams, says Babak. It is about the Ukrainian language, mathematics, the history of Ukraine and a foreign language.

“The law will enter into force on January 1, 2024. But every year during martial law, until we have won back all our territories, we cancel the DPA. Therefore, this law is “framework”.

Together with him, the deputies adopted draft law 10092 on the entry of the next year. It says that we are canceling the DPA”– said Serhiy Babak.

We previously reported that in 2024 Ukraine plans to conduct a pilot State final certification for 4th grade students.
