The Council assured that no one will deprive the children of evasive children of their right to education: why did they talk about it – News

Information appeared on the network that supposedly “children of evasives” may be banned from entering universities. It all started with the fact that Vadym Ivchenko, a member of the Defense Committee of the Verkhovna Rada and People’s Deputy from “Batkivshchyna” gave an interview to the “Telegraph” publication about the new draft law on mobilization.
In it, he also talked about the sanctions that can be applied to conscripts who are not registered with the TCC. As an example, he cited the deprivation of the right to enter higher education for conscripts or their children.
“The political leadership suggests: if you do not want to fulfill your civic duty, to protect the Motherland and if you are not on the military register, the state can deny you services. For example: you will not receive state support, your children will not enter a university, or you yourself will not enter a university. – said Ivchenko.
A loud statement about the alleged deprivation of children’s education was picked up by Russian propagandists. However, the Council emphasized that this false information.
In particular, the head of the “Servant of the People” faction in the Verkhovna Rada, Davyd Arakhamia, refuted the statement of the People’s Deputy.
“No one is going to restrict children’s right to education. The Verkhovna Rada has no such plans, never had and never will! Even in the context of changes to the mobilization rules.
It is difficult to understand why someone is talking about this. But you definitely don’t need to take it seriously.” – assured Arahamiya.
The head of the “Servant of the People” party, Olena Shulyak, also spoke about the fake.
“First of all, members of the Servant of the People party in the parliament will never support such an absurdity. Secondly, this is a violation of the constitutional right to education.
Thirdly, we are a democracy and we are fighting for the values of freedom, and what Ivchenko is proposing is more like a feudal hostage-taking of children. Fourth, no one will ever punish children for the actions of adults.” – stressed the deputy.
It will be recalled that earlier the People’s Deputy of “Servants of the People” offered prisoners to spin the pedals in exchange for a reduced prison term: the network did not appreciate it.
