The Economic Court rejected the lawsuit of the Prosecutor General’s Office to cancel the transfer of the monument for development.

The position of the prosecutor’s office was that the Chinaiv settlement is an archeological monument of national importance. Therefore, it is not subject to alienation or transfer to other persons. Especially for construction“, – said the activists of “Bricks”.

Instead, the company “Kyiv Vegetable Factory” noted that it has been “in good faith using” this plot of land since 2009 and can dispose of it.

Previously, the land was transferred to the company “for commercial agricultural production”, but later “Kyiv Vegetable Factory” signed contracts with developers KAN Development, which is headed by the former deputy head of the KMDA Igor Nikonov.

It is interesting that the Kyiv City State Administration (military administration) and the Ministry of Culture were involved in the court case on the one hand to defend the interests of the monument, and on the other – the Kyiv City Council to protect the developer.
