On October 13, the government decided to reorganize the National Aviation University.
Serhii Babak, head of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Education, Science and Innovation, confirmed this in a comment for “UP.Zhyttia”.
It is about the division of NAU into the State University “Kyiv Aviation Institute” (the historical name of NAU) and a separate institution called the Ukrainian State Aviation Academy (Kropivnytskyi).
However, NAU is going to appeal this decision through the court, the press service of the educational institution reported.
NAU is being reorganized |
They are convinced that the decision “contradicts the current legislation, and also causes irreparable damage to the aviation industry of the state.”
We will remind you that there was talk of reorganization of NAU at the end of September by a number of problems in an educational institution.
In particular, the management of the university is accused of the fact that since the beginning of the great war, the university has not been able to develop a single UAV.
Also recently, a temporary acting rector was appointed at NAU – he became the former Deputy Minister of Education Oleksiy Shkuratov.
The current rector Maksym Lutskyi decided to leave ZSU after information about the probable reorganization.
The management of the university also stated that it wants to transfer the Flight Academy to the Ivan Kozhedub Kharkiv National University of the Air Force. However, the MES stated that this is impossible without a corresponding government decision.
In July, the Ministry of Education and Culture announced a reprimand to Maksym Lutsky: the university was also going to challenge it in court.
Previously, Lutskyi was criticized for threatening students who joked about former education minister Serhii Shkarlet.
