The government awarded scholarships named after Taras Shevchenko to schoolchildren: who was awarded

The Cabinet of Ministers approved the draft Decree of the President of Ukraine “On awarding scholarships named after Taras Shevchenko to students of general educational institutions”. Almost 330 thousand hryvnias will be spent on this every month.
According to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, schoolchildren will receive scholarships after the decree is signed by the President of Ukraine.
Scholarships named after Taras Shevchenko are awarded every year to ten talented students – winners of the IV stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in Ukrainian language and literature.

This year, the scholarship recipients were:
- Anastasia Andriychuk, 9th grade student at Lyceum No. 24 in Zhytomyr;
- Myroslava Bazalytska, 11th grade student at Mykola Sabat Lyceum of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council;
- Arina Barashkova, 8th grade student of the Cherkasy humanitarian and legal lyceum of the Cherkasy city council of the Cherkasy region;
- Yuliya Kravtsiv, 10th grade student of the Broshniv-Osad Lyceum, Broshniv-Osad Village Council, Kaluska District, Ivano-Frankivsk Region;
- Oksana Labyak, 11th grade student of Chernivtsi Lyceum No. 9 of the Chernivtsi City Council;
- Darya Nechepaeva, 9th grade student of the T.G. Shevchenko Myrhorod Lyceum of the Myrhorod City Council, Poltava Region;
- Yuliya Onofriychuk, 11th grade student of Serhiy Yefremov Educational Association No. 5 of the city of Khmelnytskyi;
- Sofia Samborska, a student of the 11th grade of the Kremenchug Lyceum No. 4 “Kremin” of the Kremenchug City Council of the Kremenchug District of the Poltava Region;
- Sofia Tupchiy, 10th grade student of Uman Lyceum No. 3 of the Uman City Council of the Cherkasy Region;
- Yaryna Shupenyuk, 8th grade student at Mykola Sabat Lyceum of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council.
These students will receive monthly scholarships from the Ministry of Education and Culture. The total amount of payments is 326,400 hryvnias.
