In Ukraine, the mechanism for sending wounded soldiers for treatment abroad has been simplified. From now on, medical facilities in which defenders of Ukraine are undergoing treatment and/or rehabilitation will be able to independently determine the need to refer them for treatment abroad. It is no longer necessary to conduct a consultation of the military medical institution – the relevant resolution was adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers, the Ministry of Health reports. According to the innovation, the medical institution in which the defender of Ukraine is being treated will independently form a conclusion on the need to send him for treatment abroad and send a package of documents to the relevant state body, which is part of the security and defense sector. Therefore, the conclusion about the need to send the defender of Ukraine for treatment abroad will be accepted without the consultation of the military medical institution. Also, the adopted decision will simplify the procedure of sending soldiers for treatment to clinics in Europe. “Ukrainian soldiers risk their lives and health every day, protecting our lives and freedom. Our joint task is to provide all the conditions for providing them with all the necessary medical assistance. Now the military will be able to get referrals for treatment abroad much easier and faster. This decision, we significantly simplified and improved the current system of medical evacuation abroad for the military,” added Viktor Lyashko.
