The group “Splyn” was removed from the poster of the rock festival “Wind of Siberia”. It takes place in Novosibirsk on August 11-13. This was reported by the Telegram channel “@sibirmedia”.
“Splyn” was removed from the list of participants of the event, after the appeal of activists from the “Union of Fathers of the Novosibirsk Region”. The organization noted that the leader of the group, Alexander Vasiliev, had previously “shown whose side he is on and who he supports.”
“They will broadcast their views to a wide audience, and they will also earn money from it. And where will they spend it, where will they go, to support whom? We need to strengthen control over these organizers,” says the organization’s post on the VKontakte social network “.
The organizers of the festival and the group “Splyn” did not comment on the changes in the program.
- On August 20, Vasiliev, speaking at a festival in Voronezh, dedicated the song “There is no way out” to the groups “Akvarium”, “Mashina vremeny”, Tequilajazzz and other musicians who had to leave the country due to Russia’s war against Ukraine and increasing censorship pressure.
- After this performance, “Splina” in different cities of Russia began to be canceled due to “technical reasons”. At the end of September, it became known that all upcoming tours of the group have been canceled. Some social networks also deleted her audio recordings.
