The house of Maria Stanislavska, known as the “house with insects”is a historic building in Kyiv at 93 Volodymyrska Street. It was built in 1893.
In 2020, a high-rise building was built next to the house, due to which it was in a state of emergency. Then the developer promised to buy apartments in the historic building, demolish it and expand the construction area.

In April of this year, it became known that the house of Maria Stanislavska began to be demolished in Kyiv. The object’s passport stated that the developer plans to “overhaul” the building. However, the construction work was carried out without a permit and the project documentation was not approved.
That’s why the public works department of KMDA dismantled the fence near the “insect house”. And the Department of Cultural Heritage Protection again submitted documents to the Ministry of Culture to grant the building the status of an architectural monument of local significance. While they were waiting for the decision of the Ministry of Culture, it became known that work was resumed in the building.
