As a result of Russia’s full-scale war in Ukraine, more than 4,497,000 social, educational, and healthcare institutions were damaged or destroyed. And the amount of damage from the destruction exceeds $10 billion, reports the Kyiv School of Economics. The healthcare sector suffered the most damage in Donetsk region – 36% of facilities were destroyed or damaged. Kharkiv (23%) and Luhansk (11%) oblasts follow. Donetsk region also has the highest percentage of destroyed or damaged social institutions – 21%. Odesa region (20%) and Kyiv (18%) are next.
