During the year of the full-scale invasion, the level of vitality of Ukrainians decreased minimally. The indicator dropped from 3.9 to 3.7. Participants rated their condition on a 5-point scale, where the higher the index, the better the level of vitality. This is evidenced by survey data conducted by the “Rating” sociological group in February 2023. At the same time, the number of people who plan their lives several years ahead has decreased – from 23% to 19%. However, neutral feelings – excitement and interest – remain the most pronounced. Their color depends on the context. During the year of the war, Ukrainians’ love for others increased, but their love for themselves decreased. This is explained by the desire to be with others in stressful situations. About 8% believe they have serious disorders that greatly affect their lives. Another third have moderate disorders. Self-restraint also remains “in trend” – 58% of respondents believe that it is necessary to significantly limit oneself in entertainment and shopping. In contrast, 37% tend to think that you should try to live a full life. 1,000 adult Ukrainians from all regions, except temporarily occupied territories, took part in the survey. The research was conducted by phone on February 4-13, 2023. The sample of participants is representative in terms of age, gender and type of settlement.
