The Medical Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are inviting medics for training: how to apply

Mobilized people are invited to the Medical Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine doctors for training according to the new format, which will start on April 8.

The course will also be useful for combat medics who serve in the Armed Forces and want to increase their ranks, told Deputy Minister of Defense Natalia Kalmykova.

For the first time, medics will be able to receive an officer rank in a mixed format. Training will include:

▲ 22 days of theory that can be mastered online;

▲ and 18 days of in-person practice.

“Medical workers who did not graduate from a military department and do not have an officer rank will have the opportunity to become an officer according to a more flexible and quick procedure“– writes the deputy minister of defense.

Also, civilian doctors who are fit for military service and do not have a military education can apply to military departments in medical universities and obtain an officer rank there.

Training will last 4 months according to an individual schedule.

Combat medics who are already serving in the Armed Forces will be able to increase their rank during training, says the Deputy Minister of Defense.

“If there is relation (a document stating that a specific military unit is ready to accept a serviceman) from the unit commander, the mobilized doctor will be able to receive the rank of junior lieutenant and return to his own unit for a more appropriate position“– reports Nataliya Kalmykova.
