Military medics in a front-line hospital removed the shank of a mine from the body of a wounded soldier. Photos of the recovered part of the explosives were published in the Command of the Medical Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. During the additional examination, the doctors discovered a foreign object in the body of the wounded man, the contours of which resembled the shaft of a mine. A team of sappers was called to the patient, who after the examination certified that the foreign object can be removed safely. Specialists of the Medical Forces are preparing him for further medical evacuation and rehabilitation,” the Command adds. Without a preliminary examination of the device by sappers, the doctors did not risk removing it from the body of the wounded man. Currently, the patient’s well-being is stable.
