The Pechersk International School® resumed its work in Kyiv

On August 17, Pechersk School International (PSI) resumed its work. A cozy and modern educational space is ready to welcome students from the United States of America, Italy, Great Britain, Israel and Ukraine. PSI is a multinational international school opened in Kyiv in 1995. Today, it is the only school in Ukraine that has the right to teach three school programs of the International Baccalaureate: Primary Years Program, Middle Years Program, and Diploma Program. Pupils of the Pechersk International School also have access to the Ukrainian School’s externship program approved by the Ministry of Education and Culture. Children from 3 to 18 years old can be educated at PSI. The diploma from the IB is internationally recognized and opens the possibility of admission to leading universities in Europe, the USA, Asia and Australia. International experience and English-speaking environment The main language of instruction at PSI is English. There is also a program to support the study of academic English for students with an initial level of knowledge. PSI is also aware that the presence of a student’s native language is necessary for the normal development of self-esteem and cultural identity, and also helps to successfully learn a second language (English, etc.). That is why, in parallel with immersion in an English-speaking environment, the school additionally studies French, Spanish and Ukrainian languages. A large number of teachers are fluent in two or three languages. PSI cares about safety as well as comfort in terms of cultural environment. More than half of the school’s teachers are foreigners. There are also Ukrainians among the teaching staff. PSI is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), which certifies the high quality of all school processes and teaching staff.
