Fifth- and sixth-grade students who study under the program of the New Ukrainian School are faced with a lack of textbooks that need to be printed “from scratch”. This year, 754.9 million hryvnias have been allocated from the state budget for the publication and delivery of school textbooks. Another 138.1 million hryvnias for textbooks were also received from donors, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine informs. The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine states that it is necessary to print textbooks on the history of Ukraine, Ukrainian language and literature for fifth-grade students as well. Informatics, foreign language, foreign literature and science cycle are also missing. Sixth-graders are promised to print books on geography, computer science and art.
