The Ministry of Education and Science introduces a voluntary professional entrance test for a number of specialties.

It can increase the competitive score during admission to a bachelor’s degree, are reported in the institution

The innovation will be able to be used by entrants who enter on the basis of professional junior bachelor’s, junior bachelor’s and junior specialist’s diplomas.

“If entrants want to improve their competitive score and rate their professional knowledge higher than knowledge of general education subjects, they can register for a professional entrance test.

The results of the professional entrance test will be included in the formula for calculating the competitive score. That is why entrants should realistically assess their level of professional knowledge before registering for entrance exams.” – the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine warns.

The weight factor of the test when calculating the competitive score is equal to 1.

If the entrant does not receive the minimum passing score during the professional exam, he will not be able to enroll in the shortened period of study in the chosen specialty.

For which specialties are professional entrance tests available?

Agricultural sciences and food:

• agronomy;
• plant protection and quarantine;
• horticulture, fruit growing and viticulture;
• technology of production and processing of animal husbandry products;
• forestry;
• horticulture;
• aquatic bioresources and aquaculture;
• agricultural engineering.

Management and administration:

• accounting and taxation;
• finance, banking, insurance and stock market;
• management;
• marketing;
• entrepreneurship and trade.

Public management and administration.

Culture and art:

• management of socio-cultural activities.

When will professional entrance tests be held?

From April 19 to 30, registration for the main session of professional entrance exams will continue. From June 10 to 14, there is an additional registration period for those who did not have time to register during the main period.

The main session is scheduled for June 24-27 (the schedule is still being developed). The results of the main session should be announced by July 8.

An additional session will be held from July 15 to 19 (the schedule is being developed). The results of the additional session will be announced by July 29.
