The National Bank presented a commemorative coin “Year of the Dragon” with a denomination of 5 hryvnias, which will be put into circulation on November 24.

The year is coming to an end, and as planned, we are ready to present to you a traditional commemorative coin in the style of the 12-year eastern calendar with the symbol of the coming year a dragon However, somewhat unusual with a dedication to the Armed Forces of Ukraine“, the message says.

On the reverse of the coin, in the center, there is a stylized symbol of the Eastern calendar of 2024 – a dragon. To the right of the dragon is the chevron of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as a symbol of the courage and strength of our defenders.

On the obverse, 12 symbols of the Eastern calendar are depicted in a circle, in the center of the circle – a stylized clock with an arrow pointing to a dragon.

The design of the coin was created by the artist Maryna Kuts, the sculptor – Volodymyr Demyanenko.

The denomination of the “Year of the Dragon” commemorative coin is 5 hryvnias. Circulation – 80,000 pieces in souvenir packaging.
