Military personnel receive additional payments when performing combat missions. They are also provided if a serviceman is injured during service. This was reported in the National Guard of Ukraine. An additional reward in the amount of up to 100,000 hryvnias is paid proportionally to those defenders who: take direct part in hostilities; ensure implementation of measures for national security and defense, repelling and deterring armed aggression; located directly in the management areas and on the territories of Ukraine temporarily occupied by Russia; are between the positions of the defense forces of Ukraine and the enemy. According to the Hero of Ukraine and National Guardsman Dmytro Finashin, such payment is made on the basis of the commander’s orders. Payments to the injured are kept. This applies to soldiers who were wounded, contused, injured or maimed during hostilities. “The money is received on the basis of the conclusion of the military medical commission,” Dmytro explains. He adds that military personnel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs also have the right to a payment of 100,000 hryvnias. This is regulated by a number of normative documents (orders of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of November 28, 2022 #775 and of January 26, 2023 #35, 36, 37). Or the term of leave in case of a serious injury (if it was granted according to the conclusions of the VLK). If service members have questions about payments, they can contact their commander or the legal service of your unit. There is also a 24-hour hotline +380 89 420 1866. As a reminder, online registration for passing the VLC has been launched in Ukraine. It operates in military hospitals in 13 cities.
