The nominees for the 2024 Grammy Awards have been announced

The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences has announced the nominees for the 66th Grammy Awards. The list was published on the official website of the award.
This year, the leader in the number of nominations was an R&B and hip-hop artist SZA. She got into nine categories at once: in particular, the singer’s album “SOS” will compete for victory in the nomination “Album of the Year”, and the single “Kill Bill” – in the categories “Record of the Year” and “Song of the Year”.
Other artists with the most nominations: Phoebe Bridgers (7), Victoria Monet, John Baptiste, Boygenius, Miley Cyrus, Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo and Taylor Swift (6 each). Taylor Swift also set a Grammy record for the most nominations for “Song of the Year” – she was nominated for the award seven times. If she wins in this category, it will happen for the fourth time and will make Swift the leader in the number of statuettes for “Album of the Year”.
One of the biggest movie hits of this year became another triumphant among the nominees for Grammy 2024 “Barbie”. The film’s soundtrack garnered 11 nominations, including Best Song Written for Visual Media, Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Rap Song, and more.
For the first time, the 2024 Grammys will award winners in three new categories: Best African Performance, Best Alternative Jazz Album and Best Pop Dance Recording. In general, this year the award will consist of 94 nominations.

Ukrainians at Grammy 2024
This year, such Ukrainian performers as Tina Karol, Jamala, Assia Ahat, Usein Bekirov and Taras Kutsenko applied for the National Recording Academy award. However, none of them made it to the list of nominees.
Tina Karol presented the composition One Nation Under Love at the Grammy, the author of which is the American composer, winner of the Oscar, Golden Globe, Grammy and Emmy Diane Warren. The song was submitted in the following categories: “Best Song of Social Change”, “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance”, “Best Arrangement, Instrumental and Vocal”, “Best Music Video”. In addition, Tina Karol herself joined the voting staff of the Grammy Awards.
Another Ukrainian woman who was included among the voting members of the award in 2021, Assia Achat claimed to be nominated for “Best Global Music Album” with her album 8 SENSES. The Ukrainian composer submitted his album Global Oasis Vol.1 to the same category Taras Kutsenko.

Crimean Tatar musician Usain Bekirov submitted his SATO album to Grammy 2024. He could get into three nominations: “Best Jazz Instrumental Album”, “Best Jazz Performance” and “Best Song of Social Movements”.
Ukrainian singer Jamala submitted her album of Crimean Tatar traditional music QIRIM for the award. He claimed to be nominated for “Best International Music Album”.
