The Office of the Ukrainian Ombudsman has currently recorded several dozen cases of removal of Ukrainian children from refugee families in European countries. The Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, said this during a press conference on May 5, 2023, Ukrinform reports. According to Lubinets, a frequent reason for the removal of children from families abroad is that EU countries do not recognize guardians who have official status in Ukraine. “In our opinion, there are cases of violation of the rights of Ukrainian citizens. And I first of all turn to my partner ombudsmen of these countries.
