An electronic petition on providing women in the Armed Forces with the necessary hygiene products, which is posted on the website of the President of Ukraine, has received more than 25 thousand required signatures. Now the head of state has to consider it. The appeal appeared on the president’s website on November 2, 2022. “To date, the number of women in the army is 37,000. All of them are forced to buy the necessary equipment either at their own expense or to ask for help from volunteers. However, women defenders who are in combat positions do not have the opportunity to purchase everything they need,” it is said in the description of the petition. Its author, Vlada Sirko, emphasized that during the eight years and eight months of the war, proper conditions were not created for women serving in the ranks of the Armed Forces.
