On the website of the Office of the President registered pepetition with the demand to introduce a mechanism to combat sexual harassment and violence in the Armed Forces and to end impunity for those who commit violence in the army.

In the text of the petition, Exviyskova noted that due to the lack of mechanisms for countering harassment and violence, it is difficult to punish offenders.

With reference to research “Invisible Battalion 3.0. Sexual harassment in the military sphere in Ukraine”, the author reports that dozens of cases of sexual harassment were recorded in the Armed Forces and the perpetrators remained unpunished.

The study showed that sexual harassment can become a reason for the dismissal of the victim from the ranks of the Armed Forces contribute to the loss of qualified personnel– says Kateryna Pryimak.

The veteran calls on the president to introduce a detailed algorithm for identifying cases of sexual harassment, the procedure for response, investigation and official verification, which was developed by public organizations Legal hundred“, “IInstitute of Gender Programs” and “Women’s veteran movement“.

I participated in the creation of the algorithm adviser to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces on gender issues, the author of the petition added.

As of 11:30 a.m. on March 13, 2,726 people signed the petition.
