She suggests inviting international organizations, evidence-based doctors, specialists in sectarian education and prevention of gender-based violence to the discussion. “We must also ensure that the developed materials reach all schools. It is necessary to urgently develop an algorithm for responding to sexual violence and harassment, in particular blackmail with intimate photos and videos, harassment online or in educational institutions – by analogy with the algorithm for countering harassment, bullying, which has already enshrined in the legislation,” the deputy writes. The textbook also contained a note “How to avoid sexual violence”, in which children were recommended to avoid situations where violence is possible, to defend themselves resolutely, to “hold on with dignity”, to lie to the abuser that the child has AIDS, etc. These theses were criticized by human rights defenders, activists, and psychologists.
