There is a shortage of donor blood of all groups in seven cities of Ukraine – Ministry of Health

As of January 15, there is a shortage of donor blood throughout Ukraine. It is especially lacking in seven Ukrainian cities.

As the Ministry of Health informs, blood is needed in Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Odesa, Dnipro, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Kropyvnytskyi, Kharkiv, Lviv, Zhytomyr and Chernihiv.

The situation is critical for Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Odesa, Dnipro, Mykolaiv, Kropyvnytskyi, Kharkiv, because blood of all groups is needed here.

In Odesa, the Regional Clinical Hospital needs blood groups 1+/-, 2+/-, 4+, and in Kherson – 2-, 3-, 4+/-. In Zaporizhzhia, there is a shortage of blood of all groups with the “minus” Rh factor. In Lviv there is a lack of blood 1-, 2-, 3+/-, 4+/-, in Zhytomyr – 1-, 2-, 3-, 4-, and in Chernihiv there is not enough blood – 4+.

The Ministry of Health emphasizes that blood needs change every day.
