All the park sculpture that will be presented in the city of Leva will talk about changes against the background of the connection with the past. She wrote that the distribution of a photo of Korchovoy’s sculpture caused a new flurry of memes and hate against her. “For my part, I want to thank you for this wonderful work and project. If the universe decided to test my endurance (and you/you/the team are one of the operators of this process), then it is surprisingly successful. Because a new wave of memes, sincere comments from good, ideal citizens of Galicia. Although, I will not hide the thoughts that you were paid by those who started all this madness 3 weeks ago, I also had… I would only wish my worst enemy to be in a similar situation,” wrote Hasidzhak. Life Pavlo Gudimov said that the organizers expected a resonance around the sculpture. “Yes, they expected a response, all the organizers said that this sculpture resonated the most, so it should be,” says Gudimov, emphasizing that in this way they decided to talk about “different beauty” with the audience. “I think this sculpture pushes the boundaries a lot. I’m more than sure that a lot of people will look at the concept of beauty in a completely different way after they go and see Korchovoy’s work in person. And frankly, we all have this set of stereotypes , which are formed by advertising, mass information and mass consciousness in general. And it seems to me that Korchovyi raised an extremely important topic. The expansion of the concept of beauty, the diversification of this concept and, most importantly, he does it so professionally that it is impossible to undermine it,” commented Pavlo Gudimov . He noted that the residents of Lviv were particularly concerned about the temporary pedestals on which the sculptures were installed – and reminded that this was done only for the duration of the festival, with the approval of all relevant authorities. Gudimov also emphasized that he was satisfied with such a broad discussion of the art event, when the focus of attention shifted from the war to art and it was interesting to see different opinions and different interpretations. Gudimov recalled that during last year’s sculpture festival, the “Dudinnia” exhibit also caused a wide discussion among the townspeople – some were disturbed by the interactive sculpture, while others were happy with its installation. Sculpture Week, which, thanks to the discussion, has already gained wide publicity, will start in Lviv on August 20. The patron of the project is the founder of the ChervoneChorne art association, which organizes the Kaniv sculptural symposium, and Yuriy Stashkiv. Sculpture Week is organized by the City Council, LODA, the Academy of Arts and I Gallery, the founder of which is Pavlo Gudimov. This year the main theme is “Old and New”.
