Ukrainian Pravda honored women of culture with the “Power of Women” award

“Ukrainian Pravda” awarded for the first time the “Power of Women” award Ukrainian leaders who “getting closer to victory with daily work, self-sacrifice and concern for future generations of Ukrainians”. 15 female artists and art managers became prize winners in the “Culture” category.
“War has a female face. This is the face of women who, in the first days of the full-scale invasion, joined the army or became volunteers. They are driving science and education, culture and business in the most difficult period of the existence of the Ukrainian state.” – notes the editorial office of “Ukrainian Pravda”.
Every reader of Ukrainian Pravda could nominate their candidate for the “Power of Women” list. From the proposed list of laureates, the editors of the UP and a group of experts determined. In the culture category, the experts were the producer of Radio Kultura Iryna Slavinskadeputy director of the Ukrainian Institute Alim Aliyevpolitician Iryna Podolyak and art manager Veronika Selega.
The list of laureates of the “UP 100: Power of Women” award in the “Culture” category includes:
- an artist Alevtina Kakhidze;
- a writer Oksana Zabuzhko;
- a poetess Kateryna Kalitko;
- director Iryna Tsylyk;
- director of the Art Arsenal Olesya Ostrovska-Lyuta;
- singer Jamala;
- Literary scholar Vera Ageeva;
- an artist Zhanna Kadyrova;
- head of the Dovzhenko Center Olena Honcharuk;
- conductor Oksana Lyniv;
- an actress Irma Vitovska-Vantsa;
- opera singer Lyudmila Monastirska;
- a haymaker Iryna Severyn;
- anonymous singer Klavdia Petrivna;
- female rapper alyona alyona.
In addition to them, the laureates of the “UP100: Women’s Power” award were, in particular, a human rights activist, a Nobel laureate, the head of the “Center for Civil Liberties” organization Oleksandra Matviychukhead of the ULF medical service, officer of the Armed Forces, volunteer Alina MykhaylovaPeople’s Deputy of Ukraine, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine for European Integration Valeria IonanpMrs. Ambassador of Ukraine to the USA Oksana Markarova and other.
