In order to find their relatives, the relatives of missing persons can, under special circumstances, submit DNA samples abroad.

The Commissioner for the Protection of Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, announced this on his Facebook page.

The service is currently available in Poland and Germany. The collected samples will be handed over to Ukrainian investigators for the search and identification of the missing persons.

The ombudsman has published the schedule for the delivery of DNA.
