By the second anniversary of the full-scale invasion abroad, many actions are planned to remind about the war crimes of the Russian Federation.

In particular, the “Community of Olenivka Families” calls for a reminder of the Russian terrorist attack in Olenivka and the defenders of Mariupol, who are still in captivity.

The organization announced the month of foreign promotions at the beginning of February. Their goal is to draw the attention of foreigners to the subject of executions and torture in Russian captivity.

The largest number of actions will take place on February 24 – participants can remind not only about the anniversary of the full-scale invasion, but also about the prisoners of war.

At the beginning of February, the community announced a month of overseas promotions. Actions have already been held in France, England, Germany, Sweden, Italy and Spain with the support of the Ukrainian diaspora.

There are also agreements with the USA, Ireland, Poland, Canada, and Australia.

“We sincerely hope that constant reminders to society and the governments of various countries about the prisoners of war who defended the city of Mariupol, who left Azovstal on orders and have been held captive for almost two years, will help them return home alive as soon as possible.

After all, publicity really saves lives, as we have been able to see for ourselves over the years.”– the “Community of Olenivka families” emphasizes.

We will remind you that on the night of July 28-29, 2022, the Russians staged a terrorist attack in colony No. 120 of the temporarily occupied Olenivka.

As a result of the explosion in the barracks, more than 50 prisoners of war died, some on the way to the hospital. More than 130 defenders of Mariupol were injured.

For more than a year and a half, the “Community of Rodyn Olenivka” has been pushing for an international investigation into the terrorist attack, and is also asking for the initiation of days of mourning and commemoration of those killed as a result of the terrorist attack on July 28-29.

Dima Malenko

“We constantly emphasize that the topic of the terrorist attack in Olenivka is very important, and in order to return the wounded defenders who survived that night and to hold Russia accountable for the mass execution, we need the support of both our authorities and the international community .

And for this, not only the families of prisoners of war and heroes killed in captivity, but also the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Office of the President, the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War and other structures should work. Unfortunately, we currently do not have established cooperation with state bodies in this direction”the organization says.
