Ukrainians will be able to take the NMT abroad in at least 21 countries: a list

Entrants who are forced to stay abroad, but plan to enter Ukrainian higher education institutions, will be able to take the NMT in different countries of the world, just like last year. At the same time, negotiations with certain foreign institutions and organizations are still ongoing in the following countries: Great Britain, Georgia, Moldova, the Netherlands, Poland, Croatia, and Switzerland. “During registration from April 3 to May 3 inclusive, entrants who plan to take the test abroad will be able to choose from the provided list the most convenient settlement,” the Ministry of Education and Culture writes. NMT abroad will be conducted as in Ukraine – in specially equipped temporary examination centers, where Ukrainian-speaking teachers will work with the participants. The new locations will be announced later on the pages of the Ministry of Education and Culture and on the website of the Ukrainian Ministry of Education and Culture. Tetyana Vakulenko, director of the Ukrainian Center for Evaluation of the Quality of Education, told “UP. Life” that the list of 21 countries is not final. These are only those states with which the dates and terms of NMT have already been finalized. “Negotiations with the rest of the countries are still underway and their number may increase,” she emphasized. The main testing session will take place in two sessions: main: June 5–June 23; additional: July 11–24. Currently, the MES is waiting for confirmation from seven more countries, Vakulenko added. “Today, when we open registration, we are talking about those states (21 – ed.) where there is a final agreement,” Tetyana Vakulenko clarified. As explained by the Ministry of Education and Culture, there is a limit on the number of participants who can take the NMT abroad, so you should not delay choosing the place of testing, but register in advance. Some locations will be available only within the additional session of NMT. Potential NMT participants will have the opportunity to change the place of testing until May 7 inclusive. We will remind you that the Ukrainian National Committee for the Study of the Environment has already approved the characteristics of the NMT of 2023.
