“Ukrposhta” issued a new stamp “Heroic professions. Iron men”, dedicated to the employees of Ukrzaliznytsia.
Director General of Ukrposhta Ihor Smilyanskyi recalled that since the first days of the war, railway workers evacuated millions of people under fire and delivered millions of tons of goods.
“The actions of the railway workers during the shelling of Kherson on May 3, 2023 are one of the examples of heroism and courage. Then, during the air alert and chaos, they coordinated and professionally unhooked the car engulfed in flames, provided medical aid to the conductor and quickly seated the passengers in the surviving cars.
Train No. 109 Kherson-Lviv left Kherson station with a delay of only 14 minutes. And on May 4 at 10:18, minute by minute according to the schedule, he arrived in Lviv”– says the description of the postal set on the “Ukrposhta” website.
