“Ukrposhta” issued the final set of stamps with coats of arms of cities and villages of Ukraine

“Ukrposhta” issued the latest set of stamps with images of coats of arms of 21 settlements of Ukraine. It is part of the series “Coats of Cities, Towns and Villages of Ukraine”, which was published during 2017-2022 and was stopped due to the start of a full-scale war.

As reported in “Ukrposhta”, the set includes the coats of arms of 12 cities, 5 villages and 4 villages of different regions:

  • the cities of Bakhmut, Yalta, Yenakieve, Kremenchuk, Nizhyn, Chop, Tetiiv, Bolgrad, Zolotonosha, Burshtyn, Komarno, Bogoduhiv;
  • the villages of Klesiv, Koropets, Stary Merchyk, Lokachi, Shatsk;
  • the villages of Fontanka, Marinyn, Parutyne, Kryvche.

The coats of arms of settlements are placed in shields of a rounded shape, inscribed in decorative cartouches, crowned with a heraldic crown.

“City-type cities and towns have a silver city crown in the form of a brick tower with three merlons. Villages that once had city rights, but lost this status – a red city crown, and the coats of arms of villages that never had city rights – a golden crown with p “sheaf of ears of wheat”, – explained in “Ukrposhta”.

The stamp artist is Yuriy Ryabchynskyi. They will be issued in a circulation of 37,500 copies.

In addition, “Ukrposhta” introduced two new stamps. One has the transfer date “Glory to Ukraine! 01001” and will work at the main post office on the right bank of the Dnieper. Another – “Glory to Heroes! 02002” – will be available on the left bank.

We will remind you that “Ukrposhta” has put into circulation a new charity postage stamp “Gifts of Saint Nicholas”. Its circulation is 600,000 copies.
