From now on, Ukrainians who have suffered from human trafficking have the right to free assistance in establishing their status, processing payments, representation in courts, etc. On August 3, the Law of Ukraine “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts on Simplifying Access to Free Legal Aid” entered into force, the Ministry of Justice reports. There are the following forms of human trafficking: forced begging – you are forced to beg through threats, manipulation and the demand to repay a debt; labor exploitation – you are forced to work against your will, by force, while the work is not paid at all or is paid less than promised (documents and property are also often taken away, freedom is restricted); involvement in criminal activity – under the guise of profitable employment, with intimidation and various means of influence, you are forced to transport drugs or other prohibited items, violating the law – instead, instead of paying, you can be imprisoned; sexual exploitation – you or your children are forced into prostitution, sex tourism, escort services, filming in pornographic films, etc. by deception, coercion, threats or other means of manipulation; organ trafficking is the voluntary or forced removal of organs for sale, which takes place under pressure, with threats and using the vulnerable state of a person; involvement in debt bondage – you are forced to work for low pay in order to pay off an artificially created overwhelming debt obligation; at the same time, you are completely financially dependent on another person and work until you pay off your “debt”; adoption or adoption for commercial purposes – establishing custody of children in order to further use them for the purpose of obtaining income (for begging or other purposes); use in armed conflicts – you are used to perform combat tasks, meet the needs of armed groups.
