The Ministry of Health reminded of the list of services they provide. “In case of need for psychological services, the patient can go to a family doctor or a pediatrician on his own, or on the referral of a treating doctor (for persons with a diagnosis of “Mental disorders”),” the department notes. What free services can be obtained from a family doctor, therapist or pediatrician: Diagnosis of mental disorders and clinical assessment of the patient’s condition. Informing relatives or legal guardians who care for the patient about the patient’s possible mental health problems and the influence of the immediate environment on recovery. “Help is provided on an outpatient basis and/or at the patient’s place of stay (as determined by the primary care physician),” the Ministry of Health adds. Medical facilities that provide free psychological help can be found through the analytical panel of the National Health Service of Ukraine.
