If the necessary medicine is found outside the place of residence, it is necessary to collect all the documents that confirm the disease and the need for a specific medicine. The patient has the right to continue treatment in another medical institution in any city of the country. For this, it is necessary to contact the relevant hospital with all available documents. “It is important to contact the institution in advance and clarify whether it will be able to accept you,” the Ministry of Health says. Get medicine through redistribution. If the patient does not have the opportunity to move to another city, it is necessary to contact the chief doctor of the institution where he is being treated. In the name of the chief physician, it is necessary to write a statement about providing the necessary treatment, which is included in the guaranteed package of services. A copy of the application must also be sent to the National Health Service of Ukraine (NHSHU). Medicines can be redistributed from one facility to another. For this, you will also need to write a statement addressed to the head of the local health department with a copy to the chief physician of the hospital where you are being treated.
