Swedish eco-activist Greta Thunberg received a gift from Ukrzaliznytsia during her trip to Ukraine. She was presented with a cap made of recycled bed linen, the company said. Ukrzaliznytsia noted that Greta Thunberg is a special passenger. In addition to its environmental protection activities and the fight against global warming and climate change, it also promotes trains as an environmentally responsible alternative to other transport. “We found a way to say thank you: an upcycling cap made of Ukrzaliznytsia’s underwear is on Greta today, and we also introduced her to notebooks from No Waste Ukraine and the Ukrainian startup ReLeaf made of recycled fallen leaves, plastic caps and waste cardboard,” Ukrzaliznytsia noted.
