A case of hepatitis A infection was recorded in one more region
One case of hepatitis A was recorded in the Ternopil region.
This was reported in the Ternopil Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
The infection was laboratory confirmed in a resident of one of the communities of the Ternopil region.
The woman was hospitalized in the infectious department of one of the region’s hospitals.
“The epidemiological investigation is ongoing, the selection of biomaterial of contact persons and from the external environment is being carried out”, – noted in the institution.

We will remind you that an outbreak of hepatitis A was recorded in Vinnytsia region on October 24 – at that time, 74 cases of infection were registered.
The number of patients continued to grow, due to which schoolchildren were transferred to distance learning.
On October 31, a state of emergency was declared in the Vinnytsia region due to an outbreak of infection.
According to the latest data, 207 hepatitis A patients have been confirmed in Vinnytsia Oblast. Single cases have been recorded in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast and Transcarpathia.
