A man who beat two teenagers in a skate park will be tried in Kyiv

A 36-year-old local resident who beat two teenagers at the Partizanska Slava skate park in Darnytskyi district will be tried in Kyiv. He faces up to five years in prison, according to the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office. According to law enforcement officers, on April 30, an unknown man approached the 12- and 13-year-old boys in the “Partyzanska Slava” park and started arguing because the teenagers were allegedly insulting small children. As the investigation established, due to an invented pretext, the man started a conflict and hit the children on various parts of the body. Photo: Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office “According to the conclusion of the forensic medical expert, the injuries suffered by the 13-year-old boy are minor injuries. Another minor participant in the incident suffered physical pain as a result of the blows,” the police said. The man will be tried for beating minor children (part 1 of article 125, part 1 of article 126 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Sanctions of the articles provide for restriction of freedom for a term of up to five years or imprisonment for the same term.
