A boy aged 1 year and 10 months fell from a second floor window in Bila Tserkva. Fortunately, the child survived, said the head of the Kyiv region police Andrii Nebytov. In a comment for “UP.Zhyttia”, the National Police reported that the child was with his mother in the apartment. She saw that her son had climbed onto the windowsill and started calling her. At that moment, the child lost his balance and leaned on the mosquito net, which could not support the baby’s weight, and he fell out of the window. The National Police notes that the number of such cases increases significantly in the summer, so parents are urged to be attentive to children and not to leave children unattended. “In the next few months, unfortunately, we will observe such cases. Because the summer period is very dangerous for small children,” said Iryna Pryanishnikova, spokeswoman for the National Police of the Kyiv region. She added that mosquito nets do not protect, so for safety, it is worth installing blocking locks for windows and trying to make window sills inaccessible to children.
