A Russian rocket destroyed part of the Academy of Decorative and Applied Arts

As a result of the Russian attack on Kyiv on Monday, March 25, part of the building of the Boychuk Academy of Decorative and Applied Arts and Design was destroyed. Two people were injured there, the sports hall, the congress hall and the exhibition center were destroyed.

This was reported by acting Minister of Culture and Information Policy Rostislav Karandeev.

“As a result of an enemy airstrike on the capital, part of the building of the M. Boychuk Academy of Decorative and Applied Arts and Design was destroyed. Together with rescuers and law enforcement officers, I am at the scene“, said the message of the head of the ICIP.

According to Karandeev, the air warning signal sounded a few seconds before the first explosions, so students and teachers did not have time to quickly descend to the shelter.

“Fortunately, the debris fell into the neighboring premises. The sports hall, congress hall and exhibition center were completely destroyed. According to preliminary information, there are no casualties“, he added.

Also damagedat premises of departments and auditoriums of the educational institution.

Acting the minister reported that the head of the laboratory was injured, she was hospitalized at the nearest hospital.

On the morning of March 25, Russia hit Kyiv with two ballistic missiles: debris fell in the Pechersk, Solomyansk, Holosiivsk, and Dnipro districts. Two high-rise buildings were damaged. As of now, five victims are known.
