An anti-war work by the street artist Banksy was stolen in London

In London, unknown people stole the anti-war work of the street artist Banksy – one of the most famous street artists in the world. This happened less than a while after it became known about her. According to eyewitnesses, the art object was taken by two men in civilian clothes and taken in an unknown direction.

The work is a road sign “Stop!”, on which Banksy depicted three flying drones. It was stolen shortly after the artist confirmed his authorship on his social networks and indicated the address where the work is located. The abduction was witnessed by Londoners who had specially come to see Banksy’s new work.

He cut the picture from the wall together with the plaster and tried to transfer the graffiti with the help of wooden boards and polyethylene. The product was returned, the suspect was charged with attempted grand larceny under martial law. In 2019, Banksy’s graffiti on the door of the Batcalan music club in Paris, where 90 people died in a terrorist attack in 2015, was protected. Banksy’s street works are also often vandalized.
