An electronic patient office will appear in Ukraine: what functions will be available there

At the beginning of 2024, Ukraine plans to launch an electronic patient office. In it, Ukrainians will be able to independently change personal data and manage declarations with family doctors.
The patient’s electronic cabinet should also make it impossible to create fictitious records of visits to the doctor, the head of the National Health Service of Ukraine Nataliya Husak said in an interview for Ukrinform.
“At the first stage of the implementation of the patient office, users will be able to fully view and manage their personal data in the ESOZ – in particular, declarations.
All users registered in the account will be able to view which doctor and in which institution their declaration was made, as well as the declarations of their children. If necessary, you can cancel the submitted declaration there.” – said the head of Husak.

Such an innovation should also make the work of doctors easier: they will no longer need to go through the long procedure of changing patients’ personal data.
Access to the electronic office will be available in the medical information system and in “Dia”.
In addition, in 2024, the NHSHU will introduce treatment plans based on new packages:
- “Treatment of infertility using assisted reproductive technologies (in vitro fertilization)”;
- “Treatment of adults and children by the method of organ transplantation”;
- “Treatment of adults and children by hematopoietic stem cell transplantation”;
- “Management of pregnancy in outpatient settings”.
We will remind you that Ukraine has approved the program of medical guarantees for 2024. 159 billion hryvnias were allocated for it, which is 16 billion more than last year.
