In Kyiv, a 26-year-old employee of a private funeral service threw 20 urns with ashes on a wasteland.

The law enforcement officers found out that relatives of the deceased contacted the funeral service to organize cremation.

First, the ashes of the deceased were placed in an urn provided by the crematorium, and then they were poured into the customer’s urn.

However, the urns provided by the relatives of the deceased were smaller than the urns of the crematorium, so they did not fit all the ashes.

The funeral service had to dispose of the urns with the remaining ashes. Instead, her employee simply threw them out in the wasteland on Syretskaya Street”, – the prosecutor’s office informs.

In general, law enforcement officers discovered 36 urns with surnames, 20 of them had ashes.

In a comment for “UP. Life”, an employee of the press service of the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office, Iryna Vynokurova, said that the remains of the ashes belonged to civilians.

According to the rules, the employee of the service was supposed to take these bins out for disposal, but for some reason he did not do it. It is known that the ritual service – cis a private company, and the suspect is one of its employees.” – added the employee of the prosecutor’s office.

The man is suspected of repeatedly committing a crime over the urn with the ashes of the deceased (parts 1, 3 of article 297 of the Criminal Code).

The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of restriction of freedom for a period of four to five years or deprivation of liberty for four to seven years, the law enforcement officers added.
