The Public Health Center of Ukraine has launched an online course for clergymen of the OCU and UGCC on vaccination. The course will talk about prevention and effective ways to protect against infectious diseases, the Central Health Service reported. “Clergymen play an important role in creating public opinion, communicate with church parishioners, carry out service and a humanitarian mission. Their support for vaccination is undoubtedly important,” noted Andriy Pashinny, head of the Department of Immunization of the Center for Immunization. According to him, the experience of the COVID-19 pandemic and the fight against other diseases that befell humanity proved that protection against dangerous infectious diseases is critically necessary for survival. Leaders of various branches of religious organizations and denominations can join it, as well as anyone who wants to learn more about its topic. Course lecturers: Bishop of the OCU, Metropolitan of Bilotserkivskyi, spokesman of the Holy Synod, deputy head of the Department of External Church Relations of the OCU Evstratiy (Zorya ); medical chaplain, Chairman of the Commission for Pastoral Care of Health Protection of the Kyiv Archdiocese of the UGCC, father Vitaliy Voetsa; Hanna Yatsyuk, an immunization specialist at the State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine; Dmytro Rossovskyi, chief specialist in project management and international cooperation of the State Technical University of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine; Sviatoslav Onyshchuk, an epidemiologist at the State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
