Another 67 children were taken out of Donetsk region during the week – the National Police

During the past week, 67 children were evacuated from Toretska, Marinska and Ocheretynska communities of Donetsk region, located on the front line.
This is reported by the National Police.
As of November 2, 67 children were taken out, including:
- 57 children – from the Toretsk community;
- 7 – from the Marin community;
- and 3 – from Ocheretynska.
“A week ago, compulsory evacuation began in the communities of Toretsk, Maryinsk and Ocheretynsk, which are under round-the-clock shelling by the Russians. The measures are designed to motivate parents to fulfill their legal duty to save children’s lives.”– the police write.
It is noted that a total of 252 children should be evacuated from eight settlements near the front line.
Civilians are picked up by armored vehicles along agreed routes.
Law enforcement officers have special helmets and bulletproof vests for children. There are additional protective kits for adults, the police added.
The National Police clarifies that the evacuation of children takes place with the consent of parents or persons replacing them and other legal representatives.
At least one of the parents has the right to accompany the child to the evacuation, or this right can be transferred to another relative or guardian.
Evacuation is carried out by groups “White angel“ together with rescuers of the State Emergency Service, patrol police, security police and local authorities.
