How the insurance company ARX has already transferred more than 50 million to the Armed Forces and why it focused on cooperation with the “Return Alive” Fund

Assistance to the Armed Forces and taxes are the focus of the company’s corporate responsibility
After the start of the full-scale invasion, already in the first week of the war, we transferred 2 million to a special NBU account to help the Armed Forces. Today, the total amount of donations directly for the needs of the Armed Forces has already exceeded UAH 50,000,000.
ARX is the largest taxpayer in the insurance market of Ukraine – last year the company paid over 368 million hryvnias in taxes, and this year the amount will increase to at least 400 million hryvnias.
This is also our indirect contribution to the support of the army and the country. Of course, separately we support our colleagues who serve in the Armed Forces and the families of our employees who suffered from the war.
A year ago, after an internal discussion about the directions of aid and charity, we came to the conclusion that, first of all, our task is to stop the aggressor and defeat the enemy on the battlefield. Therefore, we decided to choose a permanent partner that would meet our aspirations.
So ARX focused on working with the Army’s Competent Aid Fund “Come Back Alive”: the total amount of aid since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the fund exceeded UAH 31,000,000 for various projects.
Why Come Back Alive?
First of all, it’s reputation and trust!
The Competent Assistance Fund “Return Alive” is a completely transparent organization that has been helping the Ukrainian army since 2014. On their website, you can see all receipts, compare them with previous months, there is a considerable amount of analytics and statistics.
Their mission is to provide technology, training and ammunition to help save Ukrainian lives and our soldiers to protect Ukraine.
We Ukrainians always help first of all those whom we know well and trust – relatives, friends, colleagues. It is natural. But when it comes to organizations like the Foundation, impeccable reputation and trust are the first important condition.
Exactly how does the project meet the needs of the military?
Each project of the fund is born based on the needs of the military. Their almost ten years of experience allowed to form priority areas of work.
Military managers of the Fund are in constant, round-the-clock contact with the military, see with their own eyes what and how it works there, collect feedback and return to the office with ideas for projects to support the Defense Forces.
First of all, they transfer property to those units that are in combat positions in the South and East. In addition, requests from units of at least a brigade are accepted.
Therefore, professionalism and efficiency are the second condition when choosing a partner.
When we met with the Foundation’s management, I was pleasantly surprised by such approaches. Everything is like our business. Study of “market” needs, project competition and KPIs for making a final decision.
Only instead of the ones we understand in business income, profit and level of customer satisfaction – the number of saved lives of our defenders, the number of new (restored) weapons and enemy losses.
Each hryvnia of the donation is undoubtedly invested with a high efficiency ratio.
Together to victory
Since Return Alive has an official permit for the purchase of military and dual purpose goods, employees do everything possible to provide the army with mortars, grenade launchers, machine guns, UAVs, thermal imaging and night optics, optics and sniping equipment, means of communication and information processing, vehicles, mining equipment, etc.
“Come back alive” has long won the trust of Ukrainians. We have been working together for more than a year, and we plan to continue cooperation on an ongoing basis. We are all bringing Victory closer, each in his own area.
