Blood centers in eight cities need donor blood of all groups – Ministry of Health

As of November 20, there is a shortage of donor blood throughout Ukraine. It is especially scarce in eight cities.

According to the Ministry of Health, there is a shortage of blood in Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Odesa, Dnipro, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Kropyvnytskyi, Kharkiv, Lviv, Chernihiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Rivne.

In particular, in Vinnytsia, Kharkiv, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Kropyvnytskyi and Dnipro, there is a shortage of blood of all groups.

Donors of all groups are also welcome in the Kyiv City Blood Center and Odesa Regional Transfusion Station.

In Zaporizhzhia, Lviv and Rivne there is a shortage of blood groups 1, 2, 3, 4.

There is not enough blood of groups 2+ and 3+ in Chernihiv. In Ivano-Frankivsk – 1-, 3-, 4-.

The Ministry of Health emphasizes: blood needs are dynamic and change daily depending on the circumstances.

Ukrainians are encouraged there to register on DonorUA and plan donations in their personal account.
