Broadcasts of religious services of various churches on Christmas Eve and Christmas: schedule

On Christmas Eve (December 24) and Christmas (December 25), Ukrainians will be able to watch services of Ukrainian churches online.
The night and morning services of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, and the Roman Catholic Church will be broadcast live by Public Broadcasting TV channels, the media company reports.
Also, on December 24, there will be a broadcast of the Night Christmas Mass in the Vatican led by the Holy Father Francis, and in the afternoon of December 25, the Christmas greeting and Apostolic blessing for Rome and the whole world from St. Peter’s Square in Rome.

16:45 – All-night vigil of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine on Christmas Eve. Broadcast from St. Michael’s Cathedral.
7:45 p.m. – Great dinner with Lithia of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church on Christmas Eve. Broadcast from the Patriarchal Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ.
21:15 – Night Christmas Mass (Pastyrka) of the Roman Catholic Church in Ukraine from the Church of St. Alexander in Kyiv.
22:45 – Night Christmas Mass (Pastryka) led by the Holy Father Francis. Broadcast from St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican.
Monday, December 25
- Local channels of Public Broadcasting
07:00 – Christmas Matins and the Bishop’s Divine Liturgy of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church from the Patriarchal Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ.
- Social Culture TV channel
9:00 a.m. – Christmas of our Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine. Broadcast from Sophia Cathedral.
12:00 – Christmas Holy Mass of the Roman Catholic Church in Ukraine from the Church of St. Alexander.
13:30 – Christmas greeting and Apostolic blessing for Rome and the whole world “Urbi et Orbi” of the Holy Father Francis from St. Peter’s Square in Rome.
As a reminder, from September 1, the OCU officially switched to the New Julian calendar, and the UGCC – to the Gregorian calendar for fixed holidays.
Christmas is now celebrated on December 25 instead of January 7, Intercession on October 1, Epiphany on January 6, and Saint Nicholas Day on December 6.
