In Donetsk region, 22-year-old combat medic Anastasia “Troy” Maryanchuk died during the evacuation of wounded soldiers from enemy fire.

She was a student of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University, studied Japanese language and literature, it is said on the institution’s page.

Even in the first days of the full-scale invasion, the girl took a leave of absence from the academy to defend Ukraine from the enemy. She joined the ranks of the Ukrainian Volunteer Corps, and later became a combat medic of the 1st Rifle Battalion of the OMBr DUK “Right Sector”.

“She was the flower of the nation and was supposed to build our state and live happily in it. In our memory, “Troy” will remain kind, sincere and brave.

We will take revenge for her, but the wound from the loss of a loved one will never heal. Sincere condolences to the family.” wrote in the Ukrainian Volunteer Corps.

The news of the girl’s death deeply affected people who knew her. In publications on social networks, they share their memories of Anastasia.

“I jokingly called her my daughter. I told her about another trip to the front with concerts, and she again asked to go with me to the east. And I refused, because where to? She is still a child!

And this child later surprised everyone. She went to the famous 67 OMBR DUK as a combat medic. I was just devastated by the news of her death on the battlefield.” wrote military volunteer Svyatoslav Boyko.

“She was the flower of the nation, the young sister of the right-wing youth, kind, beautiful and brave. The enemy’s revenge for her will certainly be, but nothing can compensate for the loss of loved ones.” noted in her post, ZSU officer Dana Nika.

Evgenia Silantieva knew “Troy” since the days of the children’s camp, where little Anastasia was her teacher. She shared her memories of her with “UP. Life”.

“A very kind and quiet girl. She was a little “on her own”. She loved anime, and she also coped better than boys.” Yevgenia said.

She noted that the girl was ahead of her peers in terms of development and thought out of the box for her age.

“When it came to hot social topics, she could never be aloof. She was always interested in what was happening in the world and society. She tried to take part in changes,” – Silantieva said.

Currently, Anastasia Maryanchuk’s family needs Financial Aid.

We will remind, in Odesa buried soldier Yuriy Glodan. In 2022, his entire family was killed by a Russian missile.
