In addition to Russian: from 2024, NMT will be available in the language of national minorities

This year, testing in the languages of national minorities will be introduced at the NMT for university entrants.
However, there will be no testing in Russian, the director of the Ukrainian Center for Evaluation of the Quality of Education, Tetyana Vakulenko, said in an interview with “Ukrainian Pravda. Life”.
“We plan to provide translation of tests on the history of Ukraine, mathematics, biology, chemistry, geography and physics for those entrants who obtained general secondary education in the languages of national minorities, in particular, Hungarian, Polish, Romanian, and Crimean Tatar languages.
We will inform you about how this will be implemented later.”Vakulenko said.

Learners who wish to be assessed in one of these languages will be eligible to do so.
“We will not translate the tests into the language of the aggressor”, – added the director of UTSOYAO.
At the same time, the director of UTSOYAO advises entrants to focus on preparing for passing tests in Ukrainian, because education in universities is conducted in the state language.
We will remind you that earlier the Ministry of Education and Science told how the NMT-2024 will be held, which subjects the entrants will take and how long the test will last.
