ZNO on the computer: the UTSOYAO told whether they will keep the NMT format after the war

During the war, entrants take a simplified ZNO – a national multi-subject test. This is a comprehensive test from several subjects, which students take online on a computer.
Tetyana Vakulenko, the director of UTSOYAO, explained to “UP. Life” whether the ZNO will return after the war and how its format can change.
In particular, she confirmed that it could potentially be about the format of the external examination in the computer version.
“We are still implementing almost all the technology of the ZNO at the NMT. That is, it is the centralized development of tasks in secret conditions, the technology of developing test tasks with expertise, safe transfer of test tasks to participants, etc.
But we definitely lack the length of the tests and the fact that the test for each subject is conducted on a separate day, so that the participants can show themselves as best as possible and that there are no extraneous factors that would affect the results.” – said Tetyana Vakulenko.

At the same time, checking open test tasks, as in the external examination, requires more costs. In addition, within the framework of the traditional VET, participants previously passed 4-5 assessments, which also increases the cost of testing.
“The national multi-subject test is a good development of the classic ZNO, provided that the tests are longer and we can allocate a separate testing session for each subject, return open tasks.
We hope that we will have enough technical and financial capabilities for this.”– says Vakulenko.
We will remind, this year testing in the languages of national minorities will be introduced at the NMT. UTSOYAO explained which languages will be available.
